National TV Turnoff Week

It's National TV Turnoff Week.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Internets... but in honor of Earth Day and smaller carbon footprints everywhere, I'm spending the week with my nose in as many books as possible, offline as much as possible.

When I come back, I'll have finished reading "The No @$$h0le Rule", by Robert I. Sutton, Ph.D.; I can already tell, it's going to be GOOD, and I'm going to want to share.

Lighter reading suggestion: anything - I repeat, anything - from Sue Grafton's Alphabet Mystery series [A is for Alibi, etc.] or Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. These women write gripping, well-plotted, redible [reader-edible: books you'll devour] thrillers, in the midst of which are serious, profound lessons about the impact of abuse.

Back in a few days, with a fistful of book reports...
